Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Ohio
  • ACLS
  • 6+ months of infusion experience
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task between doing infusions and administrative work of prior authorizations and financial assistance
  • Proven competent with peripheral IV’s and Central Line access

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of doing prior authorizations for infusion medications
  • Experience with mixing medications

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and participates in the day-to-day clinical care of patients
  • Assesses, develops, implements and evaluates patient care utilizing evidence and nursing theory in practice through the organization’s care delivery model. Coordinates patient quality of care on behalf of provider.
  • Communicates clearly with patients, families, nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to achieve healthcare goals. Acts as a patient advocate in regard to patient quality of care. Teaches patient/family at their level of understanding and documents response.
  • Provides and documents procedures, medications, treatments and intravenous therapy. Reviews patients’ screening tests and proactively provide the providers results.
  • Interprets clinical data/patient responses and collaborates with physicians and other members of the healthcare team. Provides prompt accurate shift/handoff reports and shares pertinent patient care information throughout shift, as applicable.
