About The Position

The RN Infection Control Specialist (Non-Exempt) supports patient and staff safety by leading infection prevention and control activities, including surveillance, education, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures evidence-based practices are implemented to reduce healthcare-associated infections and maintain accreditation standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or related field
• Experience in infection prevention and control or epidemiology
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC), or ability to obtain within 2 years of hire
