RN, Imaging Supervisor
About The Position
Manages the day-to-day operations of various areas of Imaging, including off-site hospital locations. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, monitoring staff performance, providing staff education, and implementing and directing Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement activities for the department. The supervisor participates in department budget preparation and management, and acts as a liaison between customers, technical staff, medical staff, and other departments within the hospital. The role requires providing complex nursing care, including monitoring and administering medications during procedures, performing related record-keeping and patient care functions, and serving as a patient advocate. The supervisor ensures proper education and training to staff and patients, and demonstrates supervisory skills consistent with creativity, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- 5 years nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License Upon Hire
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire
- ACLS Upon Hire

Responsibilities
- Supervises the daily departmental nursing activities including quality patient care and the scheduling of personnel.
- Functions as IR/CATH coordinator, working with the IR Team and scheduling to ensure patients are properly scheduled and prepared for their upcoming procedures.
- Oversees orientation, continuing education, competency files and RN licensure for nursing staff.
- Ensures attendance at mandatory staff meetings.
- Establishes departmental goals and objectives with input from team members.
- Assists PI coordinator with activities providing monthly statistical data and analysis.
- Supervises departmental patient/staff/physician satisfaction.
- Manages financial responsibility and contains costs containment for Imaging Nursing Services.
- Supervises supply utilization and the ordering of supplies.
- Supervises medication management policies and procedure for nursing staff.
- Oversees and educates patients, family and staff.
- Utilizes hospital and departmental computer systems effectively.
- Assists in evaluation of staff performance.
- May oversee CV as well.
