RN III - VHS FLOAT (FULL-TIME)
About The Position
The Valley Health System has expanded into an integrated health network that serves more than two million people in Southern Nevada. Starting with Valley Hospital Medical Center in 1979, the Valley Health System has grown to include Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center Henderson Hospital, and Valley Health Specialty Hospital, with its newest facility being West Henderson Hospital. This position provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. It also provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, with the concepts of Patient Centered Care forming the foundation for all nursing care. The RN III oversees and guides employees under their supervision and demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
- Two-years acute care experience or successful completion of an approve specialty course within 6 months of hire.
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
- Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department.
- Approved Crisis Management Course required.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
- Must sign agreement to float to a minimum of three VHS facilities.
