About The Position
Provides nursing care to surgical patients in the immediate preoperative and postoperative period. Receives report from anesthesiologist, surgeon and/or circulating RN regarding surgical intervention and incorporates this into nursing plan of care. Assures control of pain, bleeding and nausea, proper positioning, management of airway, and stabilization of vital signs. Responds immediately to emergency situations.
Requirements
- Must have current RN license.
- Must have current BLS certification.
- Must have current ACLS certification.
- Must have at least 1 year of PACU experience.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
- Must be available for mandatory call.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- PALS certification.
