The RN II ENT Practice Nurse will be responsible for patient services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. This role supports leadership in compliance efforts, monitors safety and departmental policies, and ensures fulfillment of certifications and Safety College requirements. The nurse will collaborate with department managers and representatives to identify and share safety best practices, and maintain awareness of hospital processes and CMS standards, communicating any concerns to leadership. The position involves integrating the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) into all aspects of practice, engaging in clinical inquiry to improve practice, and utilizing systems thinking to coordinate care. Patient care will be age-specific and culturally inclusive, with collaboration through shared decision-making and interdisciplinary teams. The role requires clinical judgment in caring practices, including collecting data, following protocols, documenting care, and anticipating patient needs. Advocacy, moral agency, and response to inclusion are key components, ensuring patient rights are upheld and cultural considerations are integrated into care. The nurse will also facilitate patient and family learning through structured education and teach-back methods.
