About The Position
The RN II provides nursing care to patients in an assigned unit, meeting professional practice standards specified in the Texas Nurse Practice Act with supervision. The role involves recognizing when assistance is needed and seeking appropriate resources, balancing dependent and interdependent decision-making, and expanding knowledge and skills in the specialty area. Patient care is grounded in American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance. The nurse values the specialty unit, nursing, and institutional strategic initiatives and health system goals. This role is with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses, at Memorial Village in Houston. The clinic is a multi-specialty organization with more than 900 medical providers across 65 specialties and more than 40 locations. The hourly pay range is $29.00 to $52.00 based on full-time employment. Pay depends on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Candidates must pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or higher.
- Texas RN license.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
- At least 2 years of RN experience in PACU, Pre-OP, or Endoscopy.
- Basic computer skills.
