About The Position
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week assignment in Evanston, IL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a critical care setting, specifically in neuro and stroke care.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois RN License.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, with a strong emphasis on neuro and stroke care.
- Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory.
- New graduates are not eligible for this position.
Nice To Haves
- NIHSS certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in the intensive care unit.
- Monitor patient vitals and progress, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC charting.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float to other inpatient units and locations as required.
