About The Position

Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital, a Magnet Hospital, is seeking an RN for its Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ICU is a 10-bed unit providing RN-based care for medical and surgical patients with complex conditions requiring intensive medical and supportive treatment, including telemetry monitoring for specific diagnoses like new arrhythmias. The ICU team includes Critical Care Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and fosters a highly engaged work environment where caregivers participate in shared governance and community outreach. The RN will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient journey, interacting directly with patients and their families to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 3 years

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs
Educate patients and their families
