About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides comprehensive care to critically ill patients. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, titrating drips, and troubleshooting respiratory equipment. The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Driver's license verification for compliance with radius rule
- Pass a skills-based exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%
Responsibilities
- Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as required
- Administer respiratory support from nasal cannula to ventilators
- Interpret and document telemetry strips
- Float to PCU and MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
