Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of Telemetry and RN experience highly Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Continuously assess and monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
  • Deliver medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapy and sedation.
  • Act swiftly in life-saving situations such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, or shock.
  • Assist with and interpret diagnostic tests like blood work, imaging, and EKGs.
  • Manage ventilators, infusion pumps, and other critical care devices.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients’ families about conditions and treatments.
  • Follow strict protocols to prevent the spread of infection in the ICU environment.
