About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their ICU Department at the Bucyrus location. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within the nursing unit. This role ensures continuity of care between shifts by providing direct patient care and supervising nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The position also involves patient and family education and acting as a patient advocate in alignment with the organization's mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous Intensive Care Unit experience.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit.
- Ensures continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care.
- Supervises the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.
