About The Position

Join Baylor University Medical Center (aka BUMC) as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! This role focuses on Bone Marrow Transplant Opportunities for RNs with ICU experience. The Oncology units are fast-paced and handle high acuity patients, fostering an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and team member development. The patient population includes Bone Marrow Transplant recipients, Oncology Critically Ill (ICU), Oncology Telemetry, Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cells (CAR-T) recipients, and Phase One or High Acuity Research trial patients. The units feature 24 single patient rooms and offer a supportive environment with on-unit Pharmacists, a dedicated Palliative Care Team, a Multidisciplinary Team, and accessible management. Requirements

  • Graduated from an Accredited (Nursing) Program
  • RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire/transfer
  • 2 years of true, recent (hospital) ICU RN experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for Bone Marrow Transplant recipients.
  • Care for Oncology Critically Ill (ICU) patients.
  • Care for Oncology Telemetry patients.
  • Care for Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cells (CAR-T) recipients.
  • Care for Phase One or High Acuity Research trial patients.
  • Collaborate with on-unit Pharmacists in patient care.
  • Work with a dedicated Palliative Care Team.
  • Participate in a Multidisciplinary Team approach to patient care.
  • Support and encourage growth of team members.
