About The Position

The schedule for this position is every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) night shift 6pm - 6:30am. The RN House Supervisor supervises, directs and coordinates activities of patient care throughout the hospital on an assigned shift. Assigns department staff according to patient acuity and census. Provides additional administrative support in the absence of departmental managers facility-wide. Coordinates resources for patient care activities and provides guidance to personnel on duty. To accomplish this, excellence in delegating, decision making, critical thinking and effective communication is required. The House Supervisor position includes a $5.00 hourly differential. This position is eligible for the $1.00 BSN/MSN hourly differential.

Requirements

Current Washington State registered nurse license
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR
PALS Certification
ALS Certification
Minimum of 5 years acute care experience required
Personal attributes to include ownership of actions, organized, open-minded, effective communicator, critical thinking, and ability to adapt
Skills to include strong basic nursing and the ability to coach and guide staff striving towards excellence in patient care
