About The Position

Salt Lake Behavioral Health is currently seeking a compassionate and talented RN to serve in a Hybrid Floor Nurse and House Supervisor position. This role involves working weekend nights, specifically Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with supervisor hours from 7pm-7am and RN hours from 6pm-6am. Salt Lake Behavioral Health Hospital is dedicated to transforming lives through exceptional patient care for individuals and families affected by depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and suicide. As a private 118-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital, we specialize in mental health and substance abuse treatment for adolescents and adults, utilizing evidence-based treatments in a comfortable, confidential atmosphere. The Staff Hybrid Nurse House Supervisor is a registered professional nurse responsible for prescribing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care. This role ensures the coordinated delivery of patient care aligns with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy. The position also contributes to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, and performance improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff on their assigned unit.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory role.
  • Currently licensed to practice by the Utah State Board of Nursing.
  • Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Successfully complete our current training for restraints and seclusions prior to assisting in any patient restraints or seclusions and within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
  • Ensures coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.
  • Assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performances Improvement efforts.
  • Provides supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit.
