About The Position

We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke. This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. We are welcoming new caregivers to collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to nationally recognized, innovative neurological care. As a new grad RN on the Neuro Pre/Post Critical Care team - located on the sixth floor of the Neuro Building, you will provide exceptional care to patients amongst 36 beds in this unit, from initial introduction to discharge. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross upon hire or first year of employment
  • New grad or less than one year RN work experience or if experience RN moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
  • Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
  • Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
  • Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
  • Document in patients’ medical records
