About The Position

This role involves providing nursing care to patients in an inpatient hospital setting, with a specific focus on pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, preparing the operating room, maintaining sterility, assisting surgeons, monitoring vital signs, evaluating patients after surgery, and ensuring complete and accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room protocols
• Ability to monitor patient vital signs
• Proficiency in chart review and documentation
• Understanding of health and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s condition before surgery.
• Ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Keep the operating room sterilized.
• Pass medical instruments to the surgeons during operation.
• Monitor patient’s vital signs.
• Evaluate postoperative patients.
• Reviews charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards.
