About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient hospital setting, focusing on surgical procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for patient assessment before surgery, ensuring the operating room is fully equipped and sterile, assisting surgeons during operations, monitoring vital signs, and managing postoperative care. Additionally, the RN will review patient charts for completeness and ensure adherence to all health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room protocols
• Ability to monitor patient vital signs
• Proficiency in chart review and documentation
• Understanding of health and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Assess patients condition before surgery.
• Ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Keep the operating room sterilized.
• Pass medical instruments to the surgeons during operation.
• Monitor patient’s vital signs.
• Evaluate postoperative patients.
• Reviews charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards.
