RN Hospice Registered Nurse (PRN)
About The Position
Compassionate Care Hospice (CCH), an Amedisys Company, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for their Sebring, FL location. This position requires travel to assigned areas, primarily in Highlands County, and offers a flexible schedule. CCH emphasizes compassion, collaboration, and commitment in its patient care and employee interactions. The hourly range is $37-$40/hr, with final compensation dependent on experience and skills. The position utilizes various technologies including HCHB, Enclara Pharmacy solutions, IPrescribe, Forcura, Medline, TalentEDGE, EBSCO, and a tablet with voice dictation and mileage tracking. Outlook is integrated with Teams, Chat, and Yammer. Orientation for an RN is typically 7-9 weeks but is individualized based on needs and experience.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state(s) where you will work
- Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience in an acute healthcare setting
- Current CPR certification

Responsibilities
- Performs initial nursing assessment on new admissions.
- Completes, coordinates, and revises the total plan of care and maintains continuity of patient care by collaborating with appropriate staff.
- Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager, physician, and care team.
- Develops, prepares, and maintains individualized patient care progress records with accuracy, timeliness and according to care center policies.
- Records pain/symptom management changes/outcomes as appropriate.
- Educates families on patient condition, needs and care.
- Makes referrals to other hospice care disciplines as needed, or documents rationale for not doing so.
- Performs on-call responsibilities and on-call services to patients/families as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
