About The Position
Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital. This role involves delivering comprehensive skilled nursing care to patients within the home setting, participating in the development and implementation of patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and providing quality end-of-life care and support to patients, families, and caregivers. The position offers greater independence as a key communicator between the patient, family members, and primary care providers, and the opportunity to develop rewarding patient relationships through case management. The schedule is 64 hours per pay period, with 8-hour shifts, and is full-time benefit eligible. On-call involvement is typically one holiday per year (self-scheduled) and one weekend every 6 weeks (self-scheduled). The schedule may fluctuate based on department needs.
Requirements
- Flexible, multitasker, demonstrates effective communication and assessment skills
- IA RN license
- BLS required
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
Responsibilities
