About The Position
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a skilled, empathetic Registered Nurse to provide hospice admission and patient care coordination. The role evaluates and admits patients to hospice services while ensuring professional standards and regulatory requirements are met. It also responds to urgent client calls, assesses symptom-management needs, and coordinates timely interventions. The coordinator provides end-of-life education and addresses the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of clients and families. The role requires telephone assessment, collaboration with physicians, response to urgent clinical issues, and clear communication during triage. The nurse exercises a high degree of independent judgment supported by academic and clinical preparation.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Two years of related nursing work experience in an acute clinical care setting demonstrating the required job knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Work experience in at least one of these clinical specialties: Oncology, Med/Surg, Nutrition Support, Pediatrics, IV Therapy, Gerontology, or Home Health.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure from the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
