About The Position

Griffin Health’s Pathway to Nursing Excellence Residency Program is designed for new graduate nurses. The program aims to transition residents into competent practitioners who provide safe, effective, efficient, timely, and equitable patient-centered care. It also focuses on advancing critical thinking, improving clinical decision-making skills, participating in research and evidence-based care, and fostering engagement as entry-level nurse leaders. The program incorporates QSEN's knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSAs) and the Planetree Philosophy, emphasizing teamwork, professionalism, and respect in an exceptional healing environment. Requirements

  • Graduating (or graduated) from an accredited school of nursing
  • Have 6 months or less of RN experience or is a new graduate nurse
  • Possess a valid Connecticut RN license and BLS certification
  • Must possess RN license number the Monday before Hospital Orientation start date

Nice To Haves

  • Cover Letter stating you are a nurse resident, the number of months you have been practicing as an RN (less than 6 months, if applicable), your top three (3) clinical areas of interest and your professional short- and long-term goals.
  • Incorporate Griffin Health mission and/or one core value in the cover letter.
  • Current and updated resume, outlining relevant clinical and work experience
  • Cover letter attached to the front of your resume and submitted as one document.
