About The Position
This is an excellent unit to gain experience with a variety of patient conditions. Come join our unit where there is great team building and skill development! On this unit, the nurses manage a vast variety of medical needs. Some of the day to day tasks include: IV management, IV antibiotics, anticoagulation drug administration, blood administration, wound, diabetes, and hypertension management. This is a very active floor with medically and socially complex patients. Nurses need to really be in tune to their patients to manage the care they required. It is a great place to learn and develop skills.
Requirements
- Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire.
Nice To Haves
- ADN or BSN degree
Responsibilities
- Organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Acting as a team leader and delegating aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
- Contributing to meeting the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serving the community.
- Meeting the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
