In the Float Pool, you will work with diverse populations of patients in numerous units, departments and/or locations while learning from many of our best caregivers. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. All your work will truly have an impact on the life of each patient you care for. This opportunity will not only allow you to enhance your nursing and critical thinking skills but can also lead to other nursing roles down the line.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- NIH (National Institute of Health) Stroke Scale Certification
- One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting OR licensed military RN experience

- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
