About The Position

The Float RN position offers a unique opportunity to cross-train and work within four key inpatient departments at Ludington Hospital: Medical/Surgical, ICU, Emergency Department, and OB. As a Float RN, you will enhance your clinical competencies, expand your adaptability, and benefit from a specialty float pay incentive. Requirements

• Previous inpatient RN experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required within 5 years of hire
• Michigan RN License – Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required within 90 days of hire
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, ethical, and accountable nursing care in accordance with ANA professional standards and Michigan state regulations
• Demonstrates competency using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Upholds professional performance standards including: communication, collaboration, culturally congruent care, leadership, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement
• Strives for optimal patient outcomes across all assigned units
