About The Position

As an RN Float, you are vital in healthcare, coordinating patient care based on our nursing model. You assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues. You keep patients safe by understanding their needs and the healthcare setting for smoother transitions. You delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines, patient condition, and team abilities. Your professionalism and experience help you make important recommendations that impact patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Min of 2.5 years of Acute Care Hospital Experience
  • Grad of an Accredited Program
  • Specialized field of study should be nursing.
  • RN license.
  • BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, rules, and regulations, including those for nursing care certifications and accreditations.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as health promotion, risk reduction, illness and disease prevention, and management.
  • Effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good grasp of general computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • National Nursing Certification preferred but not required
  • ACLS required and may complete post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on patient and family needs.
  • Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
  • Create a safe place for patients, families, and staff.
  • Help with emotional and physical pain to aid healing.
  • Incorporate the unique perspectives and requirements of patients into your care plans.
  • Educate patients, families, staff, and community continuously.
  • Evaluate and record learning progress.
  • Work with team and community to implement care plan, delegate tasks as needed.
  • Solve problems efficiently, utilizing resources effectively and acknowledging their limitations.
  • Continually seek professional development opportunities and contribute to community service.
