About The Position

The RN Field Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care across various field locations. This position involves coordinating clinical operations, mentoring nursing personnel, and implementing healthcare protocols to meet regulatory standards and organizational goals. The RN Field Supervisor acts as a liaison between field teams and administrative management, facilitating communication and resource allocation to optimize patient outcomes. They are responsible for monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing any clinical or operational challenges that arise in the field. Ultimately, this role ensures that nursing services are delivered efficiently, compassionately, and in alignment with best practices and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in community or field healthcare settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in nursing or healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
  • Ability to travel regularly to various field locations within the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare management software.
  • Certification in nursing leadership, case management, or related specialty areas.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Experience working in home health, hospice, or community health nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff working in field settings to ensure adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Coordinate daily operations including scheduling, resource management, and patient care activities across multiple locations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess care quality, provide guidance, and address any operational or clinical issues.
  • Facilitate communication between field nursing teams and administrative leadership to ensure alignment on goals and compliance.
  • Lead training sessions and professional development initiatives to enhance staff competencies and promote best practices.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
  • Evaluate staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans and quality improvement projects.
