About The Position

Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, including over 40 types of primary care and specialty practices. This Family Practice role is in an ambulatory setting and is suited to someone comfortable speaking with patients, relaying test results, discussing medical diagnoses, and providing education.

Under the ANA scope of practice, the clinical nurse uses the nursing process to provide professional nursing care incorporating patient- and family-centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of Nursing and Operational Leadership and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

The position is full time at the Family Practice Farmington location. The schedule is a day shift, with variable hours roughly from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for 40 scheduled hours per week.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in nursing (A.D.N.) or equivalent from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience.
• State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification.
• If not minimum BSN-prepared, a new graduate or nurse with less than one year of experience must enroll in an accredited BSN program within one year of the licensure date and complete it within five years.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.N., M.S.N., or DNP/PhD).
• Specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process and the ANA scope of practice.

• Communicate with patients, relay test results, discuss medical diagnoses, and provide education.
