About The Position
The Emergency Department (ED) is seeking dedicated professionals for our team. This position involves working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a total bed count of 120. The unit is equipped with 18 rooms, 5 alcoves, and 3 hallways to provide comprehensive care to our patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, making a significant impact on patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Staff works every third weekend.
Nice To Haves
- PICC Team: Available but rarely utilized by the ED.
- Phlebotomy: On-site ED phlebotomists available on two shifts (8 AM to 8 PM and 12 PM to 12 AM).
- Transport: Not available for the ED.
- Unit Secretary: Available in two shifts (7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM).
- Hospitalist: Available 24/7.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a busy emergency department.
- Perform special procedures including central lines, procedural sedations, cardiac transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), bronchoscopy, bubble studies, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, and blood patch procedures.
- Utilize ultrasound technology for IV insertions.
- Collaborate with on-site pharmacy available 24/7 to enhance patient care.
