About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health College Station is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Emergency Department (ED) on the Day Shift. This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week, featuring a self-scheduling model for the 7 am to 7 pm shift. The Emergency Department serves a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients with acute and complex emergencies. The department has 22 beds, with an expansion adding 10 more beds and 2 trauma bays. The patient ratio is 1:4. Baylor Scott & White Health College Station is a private, 143-bed, multi-specialty hospital recognized as a certified advanced primary stroke center, a certified chest pain center, and a Level III Trauma Center. It has also achieved the American Nurse Credentialing Magnet Designation. Requirements

  • Graduation from an Accredited Program.
  • Specialized field of study in nursing.
  • RN license.
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to diverse patient populations including pediatric and adult patients with acute and often complex emergencies.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional teams to ensure safe passage and quality outcomes for patients.
  • Participate in unit-based councils and system Nurse Practice Council to drive nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.
  • Engage in a spirit of inquiry and innovation to promote evidence-based practice, research, and innovations in nursing practice.
  • Contribute to a healthy work environment and culture of safety.
