About The Position
Provides patient care before and during EPS procedures, cross trains to EMTI Admit/Recovery area, device and ablation lab technical positions. Responsible for patient education pertinent to EP procedures. Administers moderate sedation under the direction of the EP Physician. Participates in materials management and research. Assists with the orientation of new staff members.
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of Critical Care nursing experience or 3 to 5 years of Cardiac experience required
- Graduate of accredited diploma, associates degree or baccalaureate degree nursing program required
- NJ State RN license
- BLS and ACLS Certifications required
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced complex environment
- Computer literacy
- Familiarity with MS Office Applications
Nice To Haves
- EPS lab or Cath lab experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- CCRN, RCES or RCIS certifications preferred
- Moderate Sedation
- IABP experience
