The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients receiving services within the Electrophysiology (EP) Clinic. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, patient triage, care coordination, patient education, medication-related inquiries, referral coordination, and collaboration with electrophysiologists, advanced practice providers, technologists, and other interdisciplinary team members. The RN supports patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other electrophysiologic disorders throughout the continuum of care, including coordination of diagnostic testing, procedural planning and follow-up, cardiac implantable electronic device management, remote monitoring, and transitions between inpatient and outpatient care. The RN provides education to patients and families regarding disease processes, medications, procedures, treatment plans, and self-management strategies while contributing to individualized plans of care. This role maintains accountability for patient safety, quality outcomes, patient experience, and efficient delivery of patient-centered care.
