The registered nurse provides patient support by taking appropriate action in response to questions, handling customer service inquiries, and functioning as the contact point for clinical staff, referral sources, and patients. Ensures interface with other health care professionals as necessary to ensure a unified working relationship in providing patient care, responsible for entering instructions needed for scheduling in the patient’s electronic medical record. Receives and responds to phone calls promptly to discuss pre-procedural instructions with patients, carries out pre-procedural phone calls and confirms appointment arrival times with patients, and maintains working knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
