About The Position
The Registered Nurse (Endo) is responsible for providing advanced nursing care by independently circulating and teching for various gastrointestinal procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, Enteroscopy, and Endolumenal Surgery.
Requirements
- ACLS and BLS Certification required.
- Completion of a pass/fail open book exam on orientation, requiring a 90% to pass.
- Compliance with the policy prohibiting artificial nails in patient care areas.
Responsibilities
- Managing specialized equipment for ERCP, including imaging catheters, sphincterotomy wires, and stents.
- Operating EUS procedures, assisting with Fine Needle Aspiration, and troubleshooting ultrasound processors.
- Setting up advanced electrocautery for EMR/ESD to remove large polyps or early-stage cancerous lesions.
- Handling balloon catheter equipment for Enteroscopy of the small bowel.
- Assisting in Endolumenal Surgery with endoscopic suturing and stent deployment.
- Ensuring high-level disinfection and reprocessing of scopes according to standards.
