About The Position

Experienced RN in Endoscopy needed to perform procedures such as colon, EGD, ERCP, peg tube, bronch, esophageal stent, and pain procedures. Should be proficient in moderate sedation, EPIC charting, and able to admit and discharge in the perioperative area. On-call requirements include up to 2 weeknights and 2 weekend days, with a 45-minute callback time. Floating to other facilities within the organization may be required.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS Card

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in moderate sedation
• Proficient in EPIC charting
• Able to admit and discharge in the perioperative area

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person.
• Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
