About The Position

As our Employee Health RN, you will serve as a critical clinician, safeguarding the well-being of our dedicated staff and fostering a healthy, thriving workplace community through expert assessment and intervention. Every day you will deliver comprehensive occupational health services, including complex pre-employment screenings, immunizations, acute injury assessment and management, case management, and proactive health education for our employees. Requirements

  • Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry
  • AHA BLS Basic Life Support
  • CA RN license
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience with a minimum of1 year in area of related field.
  • Experience in placing and reading PPDs, administering flu shots and fit testing and other health care surveillance.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates setting priorities, problem solving and critical thinking and follows-through with clinical assigned job functions.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills in office management such as filing, trending and tracking data in a timely manner. Designs checklists, spreadsheets and forms as needed for department.
  • Maintains confidential employee files in a database and physical file with required elements present. Maintains PPD files for volunteers/contract staff.
  • Coordinates annual health exams/screens following protocols, with appropriate follow up on screening/test results as indicated.
  • Administers immunizations/vaccines for employees, volunteers and physicians. Tuberculosis skin tests, annually, and post exposure. Hepatitis B vaccine series. Flu vaccine.
  • Works in conjunction with the Infection Control Practitioner to ensure that employee exposures receive appropriate medical treatment and counseling, are documented and reported as required by OSHA mandates and policy.
