About The Position

As a member of the Employee Health and Wellness (EH&W) team, the RN supports clinical activities. The RN is responsible for coordinating annual influenza vaccination and Wellness Programs and other special programs under the direction of the EH&W Director and is responsible for clinical oversight of medical assistants. This role involves supporting preventative health care initiatives, infection control measures, and conducting various employee screenings and assessments.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate in nursing or matriculation into a BSN program required.
  • New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
  • Certified in Occupational Health Nursing-Specialist required within 2 years of hire.
  • Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing clinical support by assisting the director and all staff in maintaining health information, data, and facility security and safety.
  • Supporting preventative health care initiatives and infection control measures by tracking employee status and immunizations for vaccine preventable diseases and administering adult immunizations to assure compliance.
  • Conducting pre-employment screenings including drug screening, vital signs, vision and hearing, immunization, and evaluation of pre-existing conditions and the need for appropriate accommodation.
  • Assisting in return to work medical clearance and reporting work status to appropriate parties to assure appropriate return with or without accommodation.
  • Performing fitness for duty assessment and referral as necessary to assure a safe work environment.
  • Developing, promoting, and conducting Wellness Program screenings, clinics, and informational sessions to improve employee’s overall health and wellness.
  • Assisting in the coordination of the annual influenza vaccination program with Employee Health staff, in collaboration with Foundation Medical Practice and hospital nursing units, to assure compliance with this mandatory program.
  • Conducting pre-placement screenings, reviewing health history, evaluating pre-existing conditions and the need for appropriate accommodations per ADA guidelines, conducting physical assessments and educating new employees about FMLA/Leave Return to Work policies.
  • Obtaining, tracking, and monitoring employee and/or spouse biometrics who participate in the wellness program compiling reports & data summaries related to employee health assessments & biometrics in collaboration with Human Resources.
