About The Position

Emergency Room Registered Nurses provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in Union Hospital’s Emergency Department. The department cares for patients of all ages with common illnesses and injuries and provides immediate treatment and lifesaving procedures for emergency situations. It is also the initial access point for the Certified Primary Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, and Verified Level III Trauma Center. Part-time and full-time schedules are available.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program.
• Hold an Indiana RN license.
• Hold BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Previous RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the physician or manager to determine patients’ needs.
• Complete routine physical assessments using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
• Contribute to plans of care for predefined patient problems.
• Respect patients’ rights, including the rights to information, privacy, confidentiality, and refusal of care.
• Assist with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and department protocols.
• Assist the physician with special procedures.
