About The Position
The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in all settings, in collaboration with other health care providers. The RN is accountable for their professional development and for practicing within the scope of care defined by law. Using organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate to support safe care, including delegating care and participating in performance and practice improvement activities. Nursing care at Kettering Health reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies of the organization and its nursing departments. Requirements
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
- For new graduate nurses, graduate from an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE).
- BLS certification.
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications as determined by unit scope of practice.
- A nurse returning to acute care after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; must be completed within five years of hire.
