About The Position
Administers, directs, and coordinates inter- and intra-departmental activities. Work is performed in accordance with Kentucky regulations for Registered Nurses, established hospital standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital, nursing and education services.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact state license.
- BCLS required.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 3 months from date of hire.
- Avade workplace violence prevention training (Level III) required after hire, not to exceed 3 months, and maintained annually.
- No experience required for part time and full time employees.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- ACLS and PALS or ENPC preferred within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months from date of hire/transfer.
- TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire.
- CEN or board certified in area of expertise recommended within 5 years of hire.
