About The Position

Jupiter Medical Center is a leading healthcare destination in Palm Beach County and the greater Treasure Coast, recognized for safety, quality, and patient satisfaction. This is a seasonal per diem position requiring a minimum of 3 shifts per week between October 2026 and May 2027. The Registered Nurse will provide 'Patient Centered Care' for an assigned group of patients, planning, directing, and evaluating nursing care with a holistic view. This includes assessing patients, developing care plans, and ensuring accurate documentation. The RN also acts as an educator to peers, patients, and families, supporting service excellence and a healing environment. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Current RN licensure in the state of Florida
BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
NIHSS training
PALS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
Ability to work in a stressful environment.
Ability to work independently, making sound decisions.
Detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
TB/PPD Surveillance Program
Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Responsibilities

Assumes accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing “Patient Centered Care” for an assigned group of patients.
Plans, directs, and evaluates nursing care while providing a holistic view, which may include dimensions of physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and functional status.
Conducts orderly collection of information to develop a comprehensive Standard of Care to meet identified patient care outcomes and evaluate effectiveness of a nursing plan of care.
Administers nursing care in accordance with established nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures.
Provides initial assessments to establish a baseline for future comparisons to individualize care.
Performs ongoing assessment and reassessment to meet the patient’s changing needs.
Ensures accurate documentation, adequate supplies, and is knowledgeable in the operation of equipment.
Acts as educator to their peers, patients, and their families.
Supports service excellence and a healing environment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
