About The Position
Piedmont Henry Emergency Department is a Level III trauma center that sees 75,000-90,000 visits per year and is licensed for 59 beds. The department maintains a 3/4:1 patient to RN ratio. Services include triage and assessment of patient complaints, medical screening exams by qualified providers, appropriate drug therapy, management of critically ill patients, and patient discharge education. The department is a fully accredited Stroke Center and recently added an 18-bed Cardiac Observation Unit. The multidisciplinary team includes ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C-RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience, and Patient Access.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients.
- Functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
- Responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
