About The Position

Join our Emergency Department team at Moab Regional Hospital! Rural nursing at its finest! You are comfortable functioning as both a triage and primary care RN. Patients can include everyone from neo-nates to geriatrics. The right candidate is excited to perform a broad range of general nursing duties, has excellent critical thinking skills, and is comfortable working with a high level of autonomy. Low nurse to patient ratios, no low census call offs, and a generous signing bonus make this a great opportunity for a nurse who wants to practice care that emphasizes patients over company profits.

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered Utah RN license (or compact state) and graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Two or more years of nursing experience in a med/surg and/or emergency department setting.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications or ability to obtain and use appropriately.
  • Willing and able to start EKGs, IVs, draw patient labs, provide comfort measures, and mix and determine proper administration rates for patient medications.
  • Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications/treatments.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to maintain same in situations with rapidly changing events.
  • Self-motivated and able to work successfully both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Great customer service and communication skills, including oral, written, and listening skills.
  • Able to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally; emotionally mature.
  • Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs without assistance and lift/move weights beyond 50 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner.
  • Reliable and timely with work schedule.
  • Flexible and willing to accept other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
