The RN - Emergency Department position is a PRN (as needed) role, working the Tier I shift from 6p-6a at UAB St. Vincent's Blount in Oneonta, AL. This role involves providing direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating with various disciplines, and managing discharge planning needs. Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
PALS Provider obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
For the Freestanding Emergency Room, a minimum of one (1) year of critical care or emergency experience is required.
One year of RN Experience is required for PRN positions

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
