RN - Emergency Department Float Pool (Part time position - MUST attend a full two week Monday through Friday orientation) St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center® is New York State's only specialty designated cardiac center. Requirements

Passion for Cardiology
1+ years of experience
Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
Certification: ACLS and BLS required from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients (including conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias)
Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses / RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
