About The Position

Elderwood at Hamburg is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Educator to lead staff education, clinical competency development, and professional growth across our nursing team. As our RN Educator, you'll help shape the future of nursing by onboarding new team members, developing clinical competencies, mentoring staff, coordinating education programs, and promoting evidence-based practice throughout the facility. Requirements

• Credentials of a Registered Professional nurse with a current NYS license required.
• At least one year experience in a long-term health care facility required.
• Ability to work cooperatively with personnel at all levels required.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.
• Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Nice To Haves

• Baccalaureate degree preferred.
• Experience in in-service education or skills in teaching
• Personal qualities of enthusiasm; interest in needs of residents, and quality assurance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orientation and onboarding for nursing staff
• Develop and deliver clinical education programs
• Conduct competency assessments and skills validation
• Support regulatory compliance and survey readiness
• Mentor and coach nursing staff
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs
• Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives
