About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Health and Hospice Educator to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of care through comprehensive onboarding, mentorship, and continuous education of our home health and hospice staff. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering professional growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing clinical competencies.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR instructor certification within 3 months of hire.
• Five (5) years of Home Care or Hospice Nursing experience.
• One (1) year of experience in education, training, and staff development.

Nice To Haves

• OASIS certified within one (1) year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a structured onboarding program for new hires, ensuring new staff are well-integrated into the team and understand organizational policies and procedures.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and support to staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Implement strategies to enhance staff retention and job satisfaction.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate clinical education programs to keep staff updated on the latest best practices and advancements in home health and hospice care.
• Ensure all staff are knowledgeable about current regulations and compliance requirements.
• Accompany staff on visits to provide hands-on training and support.
• Conduct regular competency assessments to ensure staff meet clinical and regulatory standards.
• Foster a positive and mentoring work environment.
• Coordinate, develop, and distribute current information on educational resources available by TEAMs newsletter.
