About The Position
The role involves providing emergency care to patients in a 52-bed Emergency Department unit at Wesley Medical Center. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, typically handling a 3:1 patient ratio, with the support of a night shift team that includes a charge nurse, tech, clerk, physician, and midlevel practitioner per pod.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications.
- Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital ED experience.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience with ENPC, Meditech, and large facility environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform IV starts, medication administration, and sedations.
- Care for pediatric patients using team nursing approaches.
- Adhere to unit guidelines such as scanning patient medications regularly.
