Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN Program
  • Valid license with the Iowa Board of Nursing
  • Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • Current certifications in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Current certifications in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Current certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools will be required to accurately record patient information and transcribe physician orders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively educate patients and their families and relay patient observations to healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately recording patient information throughout their admission, stay, and discharge process.
  • Accurately transcribing physician orders in a timely manner.
  • Initiating and performing ongoing patient and family education in all nursing service departments.
  • Communicating patient observations to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
