About The Position

RiverView Health is a community-owned, membership-based non-profit organization established in 1898, serving as the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN. The organization comprises a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, the RiverView Recovery Center (an outpatient chemical dependency treatment program), RiverView Home Care, and five primary care and specialty clinics within its service area. Requirements

Current State of Minnesota RN license
Current American Heart BLS certification (training provided if not certified, must obtain within 4 months of hire)
Current American Heart ACLS certification (training provided within the first year if not certified)
Must work well under pressure and be sensitive to concerns and confidentiality of the patient
Ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds with professionalism and care
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Perform rapid assessment and triage based on patient acuity.
Develop and implement care plans based on patient condition and medical protocols.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
Provide wound care, start IV lines, and monitor patient response.
Respond to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and trauma.
Accurately document patient care and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
Demonstrate compliance with all regulatory standards, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members.
Provide patient education on care plans, discharge instructions, and medications.
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, blood draws, and wound care.
Provide emotional support to patients and families during traumatic events.
Maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations.
